Central Library

The Central Library is part of Gothenburg University Library. The Library is responsible for supplying literature in the humanities and social sciences. The main part of the large collection of older literature at the University Library is held by the Central Library.

Loans and Information
The staff at the information desk on the entrance floor can assist you in locating specific information or in using the library’s resources, and with advice on the selection and use of printed materials and electronic resources for information retrieval. Questions about your loans can be directed to the staff at the circulation desk. You collect requested books directly from the shelves for ordered and reserved items, and you can use one of the self-service check-out machines for the registration of your loans. Books can be returned via the book inlet on the entrance floor. The book inlet at the entrance is available night and day.
