Sound and Video Archives

The Sound and Video Archives is a special department within Göteborg University Library, which has collected recordings since the early sixties.
At present the number of records amounts to about 25,000, plus a minor collection of video tapes.

The collection of discs concentrates primarily on music (classical western and ethnic), spoken word (poetry and drama).
The video tapes collection includes recordings of renowned English-speaking authors reading their own works or personal interviews.
Material from the Sound and Video Archives is not available as inter-library loan.
Video tapes and recordings received since 1991 are indexed in GUNDA, earlier recordings only in cardcatalog.
