Reading Studios

Göteborg University Library offers reading studios for students and staff at the University. The reading studios are for those who need extra resources and a quiet working environment. The studios are available at the Biomedical Library, the Central Library, the Economics Library and the Education Library. The work stations are equipped with help programmes, such as scanner, magnifying camera, speech synthesis and enlargement (Supernova).

To get access to these studios you have to present a certificate about functional impairment. This certificate is issued by Lena Borg-Melldahl, tel: 031-786 10 40, e-mail: lena.borg-melldahl@adm.gu.se

Booking
The studios have the same opening hours as the libraries. You book the studios by e-mail or telephone. Please specify which name you want to be shown on the booking page, for example your first name.

Biomedical Library
The reading studio has one work station and is located to the left on Floor 3. The work station is equipped with Braille display and Braille printer. The key is handed out at the circulation desk on the entrance floor, Floor 5.

Central Library
The reading studio is placed on Floor 6, near the elevator. The key is handed out at the circulation desk.

Economics Library
In the room on Balcony 1 there are two work stations, one of these has Braille display, Braille printer and the speech synthesis programme Jaws.

Education Library
The reading studio is placed near the group study rooms. The key is handed out at the information desk
