Searching for journals

You can search for journals that are included in the e-journals collection as well as daily newspapers accessible to users at Gothenburg University Library via contracts enabling access to packages of journals or subscriptions to individual journals. In addition the journals list contains a selection of freely available e-journals and a considerable amount of print journals.

Since many print journals are not included in the journals list it might be necessary to search for them in Summon or GUNDA as well. This concerns mainly older journals, to which the Library no longer subscribes.

Search Journals
You can search by one or more words in the journal's title, in their entirety or by entering their initial letters. You can also search by the ISSN number or by vendor.

Search by subject
You can search by subject, by broad category or more finely by subcategory.

Search results
By clicking on the journal title in the hit list, you get detailed information about the journal. You will also be informed about passwords when these are needed for access to certain e-journals, availability problems that are known to the Library, and details on possible restrictions in connection with the Library's access to particular e-journals.

By clicking on the "i" button you can access license information regarding the journal in question.
