Students art gallery
In the spring exhibition of the Students art gallery, you will meet six students who contribute works using different techniques, expressions and materials. What these students have in common is that they all study at the University of Gothenburg. This is the eighth edition of the exhibition, and the first time it is being held at the Social Sciences Library on Vasagatan.
Exhibitors
Caesar Björn Flinck
Caesar Flinck reser och filmar i gästvänliga ställen som Chernobyl, Nordkorea och Köpenhamn och gör filmer av detta. När han inte håller på med detta gör han satiriska foto utställningar om samtida politik.
Frida Gustafsson
Jag heter Frida och studerar biologi. I den här utställningen medverkar jag med träskor som jag har fått av min morfar, som i sin ungdom arbetade med att sälja träskor. Varje par har jag dedikerat till en av hans tre döttrar, och målat med symboler som speglar deras namn, naturintresse och interna familjeskämt. Genom verken vill jag undersöka hur vardagliga föremål kan bära familjehistoria, humor och kärlek – och hur något så enkelt som en träsko kan förvandlas till ett personligt minnesmonument.
Sam Khosravi Ghanbarian
Min konst rör ens värld, levnadsvillkor och perspektiv, verken agerar som en blick in i någon annans vardag, liv eller vad som är värdefullt för hen. Motiv/teman vilket förekommer är oftast stunder eller minnen ur ens liv vilket "stannar kvar". När jag inte målar eller ritar så läser jag till lärare i fritidshem på GU eller jobbar som lärarvikarie.
Rubina Lingua
I would describe myself as a multidisciplinary artist. I love exploring new ways to express myself, wether that be painting, filmmaking, collage, embroidery, you name it! I believe craft is a powerful tool to communicate and build community. I wish to provoke conversations, connections and to create community with my work. I am one voice of many, and hopefully we can all start expressing ourselves in ways we might have not thought possible before.
Niels Rahder
Ser det som en bra och sund hobby att kunna gå in i en kreativ process. Jag målar och gör musik också.

Anastasia Samplikin
“Generational” is a depiction of trauma that may have occurred due to external circumstances and how it gets passed on from parent to child to grandchild and so forth. Albeit almost a supernatural force it is possible to transform it into something beautiful and end its reign upon the generations.
About the students art gallery
The University Library offers students an opportunity to exhibit their art at the Social Sciences library at Föreningsgatan. With the art gallery, we want to create a creative element in the students' study environment.
All students registered at the University of Gothenburg are welcome to apply to exhibit. Each exhibition hangs for a semester. We offer exhibition space on the walls in the student areas at the Social Sciences Library.
