Writing retreat for students

Finding the time and space for writing can be a challenge. By participating in a writing retreat you get the opportunity to write in a calm and focused environment with other students, and the chance to learn how to sustain effective writing habits in your studies.
About the reading retreat
The purpose of a writing retreat is to get away from the distractions of everyday life to concentrate fully on your academic writing. A retreat leader from the Unit for Academic Language will guide you through a structured half day of individual writing and group reflections on the writing process.
Recommendations for participants
- Plan a head what you want to write and for what purpose.
- Avoid taking literature with you to read. The purpose of this half day is to focus on writing.
- Make sure that you can work uninterrupted and all the way to the end.
