Finding the time and space for reading can be a challenge. By participating in a reading retreat you will have the opportunity to read in a calm environment with other students and to learn how to sustain effective reading habits in your studies.
About the reading retreat
The purpose of a reading retreat is to get away from the distractions of everyday life to concentrate fully on your academic reading. A retreat facilitator from the Unit for Academic Language will guide you through a structured half day of individual reading and group reflections on the reading process.
Recommendations for participants
- Plan ahead: What do you want to read and for what purpose?
- Bring a pen and paper or a computer for making notes.
- Make sure that you can stay for the whole event.

- Maximum number of participants: 15
- Coffee, tea and fika is included.
