Webinar: SAGE Research Methods

Monday 25 January, at 14:15 - 15:45

The Biomedical Library, in cooperation with SAGE Publishing, invites you to webinar about SAGE Research Methods including SRM Datasets Part 1.

Open webinar: SAGE Research Methods

This session will give you a solid introduction to SAGE Research Methods, a database containing thousands of resources, dedicated to research methods across a range of subject areas. The session will cover content and tools you can use in order to improve the research skills and capabilities of your users, and build your confidence and experience in using the database for future study and research projects. SAGE Research Methods can be your guide in overcoming common research challenges – whether you want to conduct more effective literature reviews, construct a manageable research question, learn how to prepare data ready for analysis, disseminate your research more widely, or understand challenging research methods terminology. SAGE Research Methods Datasets is a collection cleaned up, sample datasets and instructional guides that can be used to support the teaching and independent learning of quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques.

The first 60-minutes will be a general introduction to the database (which will be enough to get you started if you need to get to other commitments), and the final 30 minutes will be an opportunity to explore the full functionality a bit more, which will be guided by questions from participants. The session will be recorded, so don’t worry if you’d like to catch up on this section later at a more convenient time. By the end of the session, everyone will be ready to start exploring the platform independently and confidently.
