Use MFA to access the library’s e-resources off campus
To enhance security for the library's databases, articles and e-books, you must log in using multi-factor authentication (MFA) when you are outside the university premises.
Where you were previously asked to log in with your GU account, you should instead:
- enter your email address (ending with gu.se)
- enter the password for your student or staff account
For students
Students will then be requested to confirm their login using Microsoft Authenticator.
Students who need help with MFA should contact Servicecenter. You can find contact details on the page about MFA in the Student Portal.
For employees
Staff can use VPN. Read more on the Staff Portal about working remotely with VPN.
Employees who need help with MFA should contact the university's IT support. Contact details can be found on the page about MFA in the Staff Portal.
