There are currently problems with the email for the university's employees. Therefore you might not receive notices and reminders from the library, or you might not get an answer if you try to contact us. You can log in to My loans to see if you have material to pick up or return, and you can contact our libraries by phone or online via Zoom.
The library holds books and journals in the humanities and the cultural sciences. The library also holds the National Resource Library for Gender Studies Kvinnsam, several donated collections and rarities as well as older prints, manuscripts and sound and video recordings.

Adjusted service due to Covid 19
Due to Covid 19, the library has changed service. Study places are available but placed further apart to reduce the risk of contagion. Group study rooms are bookable but with a limit of a maximum of two people in a group study room. The reading studio can be booked during the library's opening hours. The KB computer and the special reading room are bookable. Some of the public computers are available.
Special reading room for fragile materials
The Humanities Library has a special reading room intended for studies of the University Library's most fragile and valuable materials. In here you may read manuscripts, rarities and other items from the special collections. Due to covid-19, you have to contact the library to get access to the special reading room.
Accessibility of the premises
The library's entrance is accessible for people with disabilities. There is an accessible workstation in the reading studio, and an height-adjustable desk in the silent reading room. A lift is available between all floors.
Between the shelves in the open magazines on floor 5A and 6A, it can be crowded to get in by wheelchair. Contact the library staff if you need help with material picking.
